We have different functions running out the course of the year, the main ones being our Fosters summer cup competition and John Smiths winter cup competitions which are run through out the football year.
The two competitions are identical in structure but run at different times of the year, both are competed in by team’s who play there football here at Sixes, the structure of the competition is as follows:
Each team plays a preliminary one off knock out game.
If your team wins this they qualify for the group stages where there are 4 teams in each group who play each other once.
If your team finishes in the top two of this group you progress to a final qualification game.
If your team wins the final qualifying game they are then entered into the GRAND FINAL, with 16 teams competing in a one off Saturday tournament.
They are unique in the way that we offer cash prizes at the end of the competitions with the following cash being rewarded:
1st PRIZE= £500.00
2ND PRIZE= £250.00
3rd+4th PRIZE= £125.00 each
These two excellent action packed competitions have now been a regular in Sixes calendar for the last 4 years and have produced some of the best football ever seen here.
We also do several charity one off tournaments which are ususal on saturdays with different charity’s such as the Acorns children’s trust and Beacon for the blind being just two of the beneficiaries from our work.
